Avoid treating bulletproof as an absolute
The term bulletproof jacket is widely used in searches, but it should not be interpreted as protection against every threat. Equipment must be assessed against a defined requirement by a competent professional. This website currently has no verified ballistic-resistant products in its connected catalogue and does not assign protection ratings or offer an immediate armour purchase.
Define the procurement responsibility
Identify who is responsible for specifying and approving the equipment within your organisation. The first enquiry should explain the documentation that person needs to review, the quantity and the wearer group. Keep operationally sensitive information out of a general web form; provide only what is necessary for the initial sourcing discussion.
Request exact model identification
Ask for the manufacturer, model and the complete configuration being proposed. A generic vest description is not enough to connect a quotation with supporting documentation. Body Armour Procurement should remain tied to the actual item, including which components are supplied, rather than a photograph of something visually similar.
Check evidence against the proposal
Ballistic Vest Documentation needs review for the same model and configuration as the quotation. A marketing logo or a document referring to another product is not evidence for the proposed item. The responsible professional should assess the relevant test or certification information and confirm that it addresses the organisation’s requirement.
Plan fit and care as part of review
Request the manufacturer’s fitting and care guidance for the proposed system. Do not assume that a generic clothing size provides an adequate fit process. The NIJ body-armour selection and care resources are useful general references, but they do not certify any product on this website or replace the organisation’s technical assessment.
Keep the sourcing status clear
Send the quantity, delivery area and documentation checklist through the enquiry form. Any proposed item remains subject to verification and approval. Sports body padding, fashion vests and empty carriers must not be substituted for a verified ballistic system merely because a catalogue search returns the word armour.
